Brian O’Connor is the founder and president of Wolverine Cabinet Company. He got his start in the cabinet and custom furniture business when he designed and hand-built the kitchen cabinets for his own home. That was in 1983. Over the following 23 years, Brian’s cabinet and furniture-building skills continued to improve, along with his reputation as a master craftsman. By the late 1990s, the wait list for Brian’s custom work was 6 to 12 months, but his customers never seemed to mind. By 2004, the physical toll of single-handedly building and installing cabinets was catching up to him, and Brian sought a way to transfer the knowledge, skills and experience he had accumulated over the years to a new venture. That new venture became Wolverine Cabinet Company, a retail cabinet and supply store serving all of Northern Michigan.

This small, family-run facility builds all our cabinets to Brian’s exacting specifications.
